Spring is almost here.....Essence Black Women in Music Event 2012

When it comes to Eve’s style, she is on my top five list and has been for about a decade. I just think she knows what works for her and she can be both street and sweet, which makes it a plus. My color for the season is green, whether it be mint, sea foam, lime or just regular old green. It made my day to see Eve rocking the color for an Essence Women in Music event……I am totally loving green.
Tis’ the season ! Spring is almost near :)

Kelly Rowland is another favorite of mine. I love her complexion, hair and feel she’s an overall beauty. It was just as great seeing her in this beautiful orange because it really worked well with her color. I hope she keeps this color in rotation for the Spring. She too, along with Eva and a few others were at the same event as Eve. I would have loved to frolic and watch the stars walk that red carpet. They looked absolutely amazing !

Forever 21+

Forever 21 has added a new kick to fashion. Thanks to a friend of mine I learned of Forever 21+ which carries affordable, trendy looks for the curvy more full-figured girl. They have some really cute skinny jeans, tops, cardigans and outerwear. I have a cut net/mesh top from there that I rocked with a cami under and it was a hit !!! T.I. and Tiny Family Hustle on VH1

I am an Xscape fan and T.I. fan so I couldn’t help but wonder what you get when you mix these two artists together and create a family……if you saw the first episode you would see that they have great chemistry, a mutual respect and love of family and they truly love one another. It’s a very cute show thus far and fans will get to see sides of both of the lovebirds. As we see T.I. has a soft side when it comes to family and pint sized Tiny has a rough/hood edge to her that we didn’t see back in the day. I love it and think they complement one another in a unique way. I love how close their family is and the kids are very mannerable which is a plus.

Some may watch the show in disbelief that they have a bond and family and others will watch and think wow , “I want a guy to feel me as much as he feels her,” and vice versa. At any rate, so far so good we shall see what’s ahead.
You can catch the show on VH1. The season premiere was Dec. 5th at 9pm, but you know they will keep airing it and definitely before the new one next month.

K'La

K’La is a very talented lyricist and poet on Def Jam Records whose music totally rocks. She had a single on the airwaves last year entitled “All Your Love,” produced by Stephen Marley and a music video as well. She is very unique because she’s giving insight on love, life and setbacks from a female’s perspective. She’s not male bashing, but instead discusses topics we shouldn’t brush off our shoulders such as being blinded by love and also making sure you stay grounded when trying to reach success and goals. I love the album and feel she has a lot to bring to the table. This is a young lady that is going to blow up when she releases her debut album. Right now she has “The Coldest Winter Ever” mix tape and it’s awesome (and includes the above mentioned single)! I have been bumping this CD since I got it last year…the girl is way beyond her years…she’s like a Lauryn Hill, Badu and Eve rapped in one. I love this girl…..a true lyricist and poet!
